The Pedal

Originally, I developed a small module based on the Jack Orman Buff n Blend circuit to add into existing pedals to add a blend knob. The circuit worked fantastically, so I did a small prototype run with the module as a pedal back in 2019. The prototype run sold out quickly, as it solved a problem that many musicians face: being able to add a blend knob to an entire signal loop or a pedal individually! Fast forward to today, we have released a professional grade signal blending tool using high grade parts and components!

Controls

It took some thinking as to how we wanted to arrange the jacks on the pedal before deciding on the layout that Boss/Roland uses. We feel that this is industry standard for most pedalboard layouts and makes the most sense.

How to Use:

There are a few different use cases for the SIGNAL BLENDER pedal! The TRADITIONAL USE is as a means to blend one or more pedals into a dry signal. For example, for less of a delay pedal volume in the audio path an more dry signal, or to back off a little intense fuzz pedal on bass clean pickups. It can also be used as a JFET based mono buffer pedal to preserve audio integrity, or as a JFET based, buffered splitter to go to two different amps aka split the signal to dual mono! Additionally, the SIGNAL BLENDER can be used as an active/buffered volume control! There's so many usages for this utility pedal!

As a Signal Blend Wet/Dry Blend:

Simply connect a guitar into the IN jack, and connect the input of thepedal(s) that will be the wet/blend signal into the SEND jack. Connect the output of the wet/blend pedal to the RETURN jack. Finally, connect the OUT jack to the input of the next pedal or amp.

As a JFET Mono Buffer:

Connect the guitar to the IN jack and use the SEND jack as the output to the next pedal or amp.

As a JFET Buffered Splitter:

Connect the guitar to the IN jack and use the SEND jack as output 1 and RETURN jack as output 2.

As a Passive Volume Control

Connect the guitar to the RETURN jack and use the OUT jack as the output. (No power needed.)

Components

The SIGNAL BLENDER is 100% analog using respected components; Neutrik audio and Kobicon power jacks, Audio Grade caps, etc. SIGNAL BLENDER is handmade in Texas.
