A modern reissue of the vintage Maestro MPF-1 Parametric Filter hand wired and assembled by Loophole Pedals in Dallas, Texas. The vintage style graphics were also etched in house by Loophole Pedals. The circuit board used was provided by lectricFx.
A MOSFET/CMOS based clean boost, overdrive & powerful (semi) parametric EQ all in one, famously used by QOTSA & Rush, the Maestro™ MPF-1 offers a wide array of tone shaping options and fuzz sounds.
This model differs from the original in that it has a separate footswitch for the overdrive mode with individual gain controls for the drive mode on and off. The filter rotary selector (bottom middle knob) has four positions, from low-mid filtering to higher band filtering. Using these two in tandem, there are 8 total positions, expanding on the original design by adding 3 new combinations!
- Handwired
- True Bypass
- Neutrik Jacks
- Red Overdrive Mode with Gain2 knob
- Blue Normal Mode with Gain1 knob
- 5 position filter rotary knob for range
- Height knob to boost frequencies
- Master Volume knob
- Frequency knob for peak range
The only other pedal on the market that is similar is the PDF-1X by Stone Deaf FX.
Note: I make these to order in very small batches so there will be an average 2-4 week lead time. Your build may vary between gloss or matte black powder coat and the knobs will vary depending upon availability.
